Lump is an extraordinary figure in the Polish urban art scene.
Like most people in this genre, he started with graffiti, and many years of practice built his way of acting and thinking about space.
Suspended between graffiti and street art, he never became a full participant of the festival fashion for murals.
 
And yes, creating them from time to time alongside with his guerrilla interventions on advertising media,
large-format posters or scaled objects caused quite a stir. Lump plays with the city, juggles its elements,
building his own world. He does not limit himself in one technique but uses a variety of means. Individual
projects form a coherent whole, in which we can easily recognize the author.
 
He is an urban hoarder, a collector of abandoned and seemingly useless things. They are the basis of his inspiration.
He recycles torn out elements giving them a new life. This is quite a specific method of work and rare in an industry
focused on large-format murals. Lump is one of the most mysterious figures on the Polish urban art scene.
He hides the documentation of his work in a drawer for months or even years.
 
This is a rare attitude in the era of the compulsion to immediately announce every step to the world.
Looking at these documentations, we must be aware that the works themselves may have already disappeared from the real landscape,
and this procedure of ‘freezing’ is a kind of play with the viewer, stimulating and simulating the topicality.
